Second edition of the Play Fair Code Talks with a focus on women's sport and integrity

Top-class network event with national and international integrity experts in Vienna.

Based on the study of the German Sport University Cologne "Breaking Barriers", which dealt with the challenges of women's sport, integrity and sports betting, Kirstin Hallmann (private lecturer at the German Sports University Cologne), Martina Spreitzer-Kropiunik (Vice President of the Regional Court for Criminal Matters in Vienna and judge at the CAS), Claudia Koller (Managing Director of 100% Sport) and Ronan O'Loaire (Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Officer at UNODC in Vienna) adressed a variety of questions on the topic.

Women's sport is in the fast lane economically, in terms of perception and visibility. Is this just an opportunity or also a risk? How do you deal with the associated integrity challenges and are there recommendations for action? These and other questions were addressed by the first panel of the event in the House of Sports in Vienna.

Subsequently, the focus shifted to Integrity Officers and their fields of activity in sports associations. Various models and approaches to implementation, such as the systems of UEFA, the IIHF (International Ice Hockey Federation) and the IOC, were examined.

What does the cooperation look like in concrete terms, are national sports federations overwhelmed by the increasing tasks in the area of integrity, how can we remedy the situation? These and other questions were addressed by Eva Immerheiser (Integrity Officer of the German Football Association), Friedrich Stickler (President of the Play Fair Code), Timo Gless (Integrity Officer of the Austrian Ice Hockey Association), Andreas Baumgartner (Integrity Officer of the Austrian Fottball Association) and Friedrich Martens (Ethics and Compliance Officer of the IOC).

The event was broadcast live on ORF Sport +.
